Full Stack Engineer · .NET/C# · React/TypeScript · Enterprise AI
I build cloud-native enterprise applications and AI systems end to end — RAG pipelines, vector search, and LLM integrations on Azure OpenAI and Anthropic Claude — with the cost governance, security, and resilience patterns production environments demand.
I'm a full-stack engineer with 8+ years delivering production systems in .NET/C# and React/TypeScript, at companies including Crisis Prevention Institute and Microsoft. My focus now is enterprise AI: I've built RAG pipelines — token-aware chunking, pgvector similarity search, hybrid re-ranking — provider-agnostic service layers that swap between Azure OpenAI and Anthropic Claude at runtime, and tooling to track and govern AI spend. I care as much about the cost, security, and resilience patterns around AI as the models themselves.
My path is unusual by design: after building front ends for Showtime and Condé Nast, I spent 2011–2017 earning an MFA at Columbia and writing professionally, then returned to engineering through two internationally published textbooks on VR/AR development, teaching AP Computer Science, and architecture work at Microsoft. I'm trusted to drive architecture decisions and represent engineering with customers and stakeholders — because I can build the system and explain it.
Certificates: Computer Vision & Machine Learning — Udacity / Nvidia (2020) · .NET Full Stack Development — DevCode Camp (2018)
AI-powered writing assistant for authors, screenwriters, and playwrights — built on the philosophy of helping you write better, not writing for you. Combines my two careers: an MFA-trained writer's understanding of craft with production LLM engineering.
AI-powered Azure resource management application — describe the infrastructure you need in plain language and Easel provisions it. .NET backend, Next.js frontend.
Online app for writers that tracks script and story submissions to publications and contests, with a smart algorithm that prioritizes submissions and helps strategize where to send work next.
Open to senior engineering roles, enterprise AI work, and conversations about hard problems. Milwaukee-based, remote-friendly.
